Waterloo is a consolidation of Atwater and Randolph Townships situated in southern Portage County. The consolidation took place in 1965 with the schools existing as separate programs. In September 1968 the doors to a new high school opened. The “Viking” mascot was chosen along with school colors of burgundy and white. A new Central Services building and bus garage were constructed in 1980. In the Spring 2004, Waterloo became a single K-12 campus.
